Meet Molly!
I came out of the womb singing a high C!!!!
Not exactly… but now that you’re here! I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee by my wonderful parents, Anyssa and Dustin Blackburn, and with my sweet younger sister, Adie, and I have loved to perform as long as I can remember. Theatre and the performing arts have become my life-long passion and I feel so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be pursuing this dream of mine as a career.
For the past four years I have been attending East Tennessee State University and am now one semester away from earning my BA in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre and Minors in Dance and Fine and Performing Arts, but I will not be done learning any time soon! I like to consider myself a “life-long learner” and strive to always be curious in everything that I do.
These qualities of gratitude, discovery, and sincerity are ones I value not only in my day to day life, but in my work as a performing artist as well. I have found that authentic and genuine performance is not only more thrilling for all involved, but also essential to creating a more open, creative, and accepting space for colleagues and audiences alike!
When I am not on stage, you can find me thrifting with friends, pampering my cat, Nelson, singing with my collegiate a cappella group (go Harmonium!!) or on a constant mission to find the best iced vanilla chai in town!
